Senior Software Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsibilities 

    • Designs and develops high-quality test automation, from which others can create repeatable automated tests. 

    • Prepare the testing environment with the required configurations, such as installing the necessary drivers, and testing frameworks. 

    • Run the automation test scripts against the Microsoft Teams application. This will simulate user interactions and validate the application's behavior. 

    • Test execution, running automation tool capturing the test results, including pass/fail status, performance metrics, and any error logs. Verify the results against the expected outcomes for each test scenario. 

    • Integrate your automation testing into a CI/CD pipeline to ensure regular and automated testing as part of the development process. 

    • Tests required code changes while working closely with developers and product owners. 

    • Report bugs or issues are identified during the automation testing, and report them to the development team with detailed information and steps to reproduce. 

    • Raises the standards for QA practices and stays up to date with the latest technologies and utilizes them to good effect. 

    • Always looking to come up with repeatable processes and looking to use continuous improvement methodologies to make the existing processes efficient. 

    • Review product for conformity to design guidelines, Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution. 

    • Setup and maintenance of devices in the client lab.

     

    Qualifications 

    Required 

    • Computer Science and engineering skills and equivalent experience. 

    • 3-5 years of current and demonstrable experience as an SDET. 

    • 3-5 years of automation and testing experience [Any: Selenium/Appium/API.] 

    • 3-5 years of current design and development experience in [Any: Java/C#/Python or others]. 

    • Proficient with Dev-ops and Agile testing methodologies and best practices in an SDET role. 

    • knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build and release processes, and test suite development and maintenance. 

    • Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, and problem-solving skills. 

    • Ability to work both independently and within a close team environment. 

    Recommended 

    • Experience working with Microsoft Teams and on Android devices. 

    • Experience with open-source automation frameworks such as Robot Framework 

    • Experience in Testing frameworks, UI automation tools, and android devices test automation. 

    • Appreciation for CI/CD and DevOps. 

    • Testing and automation experience MS VSTS technology stack including TFS, MTM, and Lab Center. 

    • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal. 

     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field is required
