The Senior Software Engineer is a full-stack developer responsible for developing components of patient monitoring software.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Maintain, develop, and scale the infrastructure to support the expanding customer needs, including:
User facing features
Web server components
Data acquisition
Integrate with HL7 and web service interfaces for capturing EHR, patient data and beyond.
Take ownership of projects and customer sites to deliver and maintain the excellent level of service and operability that customers expect.
Develop SQL to interpret complex healthcare data.
Implement and maintain automated tools, processes and procedures for developing and deploying software.
Support the effort to modernize and scale the platform to meet the needs of the cloud environment.
Provide after-hours support as required.
Provide technical sales support for sales opportunities as needed.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of three years of IT data services experience, software implementation and support.
Experience with MS-SQL, SQL database management and configuration, Typescript, Javascript, Visual Studio, C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core and client-server applications
Background in Healthcare Information Technology
Understanding of HIPAA requirements and compliance.
Knowledge of medical technology industry tools and standards: Web services, APIs, HL7 and FHIR.
Experience with Epic, Cerner, and similar EHR systems.
Experience with EMR system level messages (HL7, FHIR, etc.)
Experience with providing healthcare related integration support and maintenance.
Hands-on experience with scripting and API tools such as Postman.
Experience with desktop automation tools and/or scripting languages.
Strong communication and relationship building skills with team members and customers.
Experience in horizontal and vertical scaling of cloud-based systems.
Experience in a clinical setting or medical IT or medical technology start-up.
Demonstrated technical writing and flowchart skills and the ability to effectively communicate with customer, managers, and executives on technical and business issues.
Demonstrated strong organization, time management and project management skills.
Ability to collaborate with customers in both pre-sales and post-sales environments.
Proficient in the Microsoft suite: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills and ability to independently produce documents.
Proficient in collaboration tools such as Confluence, Jira, Slack, Teams and SharePoint.
Ability to project manage and complete projects in a timely manner.
